I have fifteen years of experience teaching Spanish and English as foreign languages in grades K-6 at private and public schools in Colombia and USA. I love living in English and working in Spanish. Speaking another language does not only facilitate communication, it empowers courage. Seeing my students speak my mother language is fulfilling because I understand that it takes a lot of work and commitment to communicate in a different code and walk through another culture. They sound just adorable. I learned English in London, UK, where I worked as a Tutor of Spanish as a second language in 2000 and as Au-Pair. That experience made me understand how fascinating learning a new language is. I am currently working on renewing my teaching license to continue working for public schools in Virginia.
